【Call for Registration】《2026 EALA Annual Conference》ROC English and American Literature and Department of Foreign Languages and Literature, National Sun Yat-Sen University
The 2026 (34th) EALA Annual Conference will be held on Saturday, 17 October 2026, at the College of Liberal Arts and the Fine Arts Building, National Sun Yat-sen University.
This year’s conference, themed “From Technē to Technology,” is jointly organized by the English and American Literature Association, Taiwan (EALA Taiwan) and the Department of Foreign Languages and Literature, National Sun Yat-sen University (NSYSU DFLL).
We are pleased to welcome two keynote speakers: Professor Christoph Bode (Professor Emeritus, Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich) and Professor Vincent J. Cheng (Shirley Sutton Thomas Professor of English and Distinguished Professor, Department of English, University of Utah).
On Friday, 16 October 2026, we will also host a Postgraduate Forum, followed by a guest lecture by Professor Ian Haywood (Emeritus Professor of English, University of Roehampton).

Postgraduate Forum
The Postgraduate Forum provides a platform for postgraduate students to exchange ideas with the keynote speakers at the 34th EALA conference, Professor Christoph Bode (Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich) and Professor Vincent J. Cheng (University of Utah), and to connect with fellow postgraduate students. Participants will present their research projects for five to seven minutes and receive feedback from our guest professors.
Following the forum, Professor Ian Haywood from the University of Roehampton will deliver a lecture titled “The Romance of Research” from 16:00 to 17:30.
To ensure high-quality discussions and exchanges of ideas at the forum, the organizers will compile the participants’ research project introductions in advance. Registration is limited to 16 participants, and attendance grants will be awarded to selected master’s and doctoral students based on merit.
